How it works

From your hands to your bank, in six steps.

  1. 01

    You submit

Send us a list (or photos) through the submit form. Tell us your intent, grade, consign, or both, and we'll reply within 48 hours with our recommendation and ship-in instructions.

  2. 02

    We intake & photograph

The moment your package lands, every card is logged in our system, photographed front and back, and added to your private dashboard. You can watch the whole batch progress without ever needing to email us.

  3. 03

    Grading (if applicable)

We submit to PSA on your behalf at the tier that makes the most sense for your card's value. When grades come back, you reveal them in your dashboard, and choose what to do next.

  4. 04

We list it on the right channel

eBay for max reach, TCGplayer for tournament-grade demand, Fanatics for high-end auction lots, or our own Fox Den shop for fast direct sale. We pick the channel per card based on grade, set, and current sales comps.

  5. 05

    Sale clears

Once your card sells and the marketplace settles the funds, the sale shows up instantly in your dashboard with the channel, price, and your net payout.

  6. 06

    You get paid

Payouts go out daily via Venmo, Zelle, or ACH, whichever method you set on file. Every payout is tracked in your dashboard with the amount, method, and date sent.

Fee structure

One transparent commission schedule.

No hidden costs. No setup fees. No listing fees. You pay one commission rate per channel, that's it. Marketplace fees (when the channel charges them) come out of the sale price before commission is calculated, so you're never charged on money the marketplace already took.

Channel Best for Marketplace fee Fox Den commission
Fox Den Shop foxdenhideout.com Direct buyers, fast sales, lowest fees ~3% (Shopify processing) 12%
eBay Largest collector marketplace Wide audience, established buyers 13% final value fee 20%
TCGplayer TCG-focused marketplace Tournament-grade demand, set completers 13% (min $0.30) 20%
Fanatics Auction house · graded only High-end graded singles, six-figure cards Tiered (see below) Tiered (see below)
Fox Den Buyback Cash offer on revealed grade You accept our offer on graded cards, no listing, no waiting None $0

Commission is calculated on what the sale actually nets after the marketplace takes its cut. You always get a percentage of what hits our account, not the listed price.

Fanatics tier breakdown

The bigger the sale, the more you take home.

Fanatics auctions reward bigger sales with a bigger share of hammer. On six-figure sales you actually take home more than hammer price, because the auction premium more than covers everyone's costs.

Hammer price You receive (of hammer)
$0 – $19.99 70%
$20 – $49.99 92%
$50 – $99 94%
$100 – $999 96%
$1,000 – $4,999 98%
$5,000 – $9,999 100%
$10,000 – $249,999 102%
$250,000 – $999,999 104%
$1,000,000+ 105%

Fanatics consignment is available for graded cards only and requires Fox Den approval (we won't waste your time submitting a card that won't get traction at auction). Fanatics applies a 20% buyer's premium on top of hammer that funds the seller bonuses.

Common questions

What collectors usually ask before sending us their first batch.

How long until my card sells?

It depends on the card, the channel, and the market. Direct-buyer channels like Fox Den shop and TCGplayer often move modern singles in days to weeks. eBay's range is wider, weeks to months for niche items. Fanatics auctions follow a set schedule (typically 30–45 days from consignment to hammer). We pick the channel partly based on how quickly you want liquidity vs. how patient you can be for max price.

Can I set a minimum price or reserve?

Yes. When you submit a card, tell us your floor, either a hard minimum (we won't list below it) or a guideline you want us to weigh against current comps. For Fanatics auctions, reserves are limited by their house policy, but we'll structure starting bids strategically. For fixed-price listings on eBay / TCGplayer / Fox Den shop, you have full price control.

Can I pull a card back after it's listed?

Yes, with one exception. Active fixed-price listings can be pulled at any time, we just remove them and ship the card back to you (return shipping at cost). Active auction listings on Fanatics cannot be withdrawn once the auction goes live, as it's against their house rules. Always check with us before listing if there's any chance you'll want it back.

How do you decide which channel to list on?

We weigh card type, grade, current sales comps, and your stated priorities (speed vs. max price). Modern PSA 9/10 singles often perform best on TCGplayer or Fox Den shop. Vintage and high-end graded singles usually go to eBay (broadest pool) or Fanatics (auction premium). Ungraded singles depend heavily on set demand. You'll always see our channel recommendation before it lists, and you can override if you prefer a different platform.

What if a buyer requests a return?

We handle return requests directly with the buyer and only ever approve returns for legitimate cause, wrong item shipped, damage in transit, or marketplace policy requirements. Frivolous return requests are denied. If a return is processed, the sale is reversed in your dashboard and the card returns to listed status, so you don't lose your spot in the sales queue.

Are my cards insured while at Fox Den?

Yes. All cards in our possession are covered under our business policy for fire, theft, and damage at full appraised value. Coverage starts the moment your package is logged in our intake system and continues until the card is sold and shipped, returned to you, or moved to a marketplace's possession for sale.

What's the difference between consignment and Fox Den Buyback?

Consignment means we list your card on the channel that suits it best, and you get paid when it sells (minus marketplace fees and our commission). You bear the price risk but capture upside.

Fox Den Buyback means we make you a cash offer on the spot, typically after grading reveals, and pay you immediately. We take on the price risk and any upside. Buyback is usually 70–85% of expected net consignment value, traded for instant liquidity and zero waiting.

You see the buyback offer (if we extend one) in your dashboard the moment grades come back. Accept it and we cut you a check. Decline and we list it on consignment as planned.

How and when do I get paid?

Payouts go out daily via Venmo, Zelle, or ACH, whichever method you set on file. Once the marketplace settles the sale funds (1–7 days depending on platform), your payout is queued and sent the next business day. Every payout shows up in your dashboard with the amount, method, and date sent, plus you get an email confirmation when each one ships.

What happens if my card doesn't sell?

We re-evaluate after 60 days on the original channel. Options at that point: re-list on a different channel, lower the price, or send it back to you (you pay return shipping at cost). There's no penalty or storage fee for cards that take a while to move. You'll always have the option to relist.

Ready to send your cards in?
